About 15 Christians convert to Islam at Imam Reza Holy Shrine

Seyyed Javad Hasheminejad said on Monday that these people included 9 women and 6 men coming from Germany, Portugal, Sweden, Thailand, Lebanon, Italy and Ethiopia.

AhlulBayt News Agency - Director of Non-Iranian Pilgrims' Affairs of Imam Reza (AS) Holy Shrine said that 15 Christians from 6 different nationalities converted to Islam during the first three months of the current Iranian calendar year (started March 20).

Seyyed Javad Hasheminejad said on Monday that these people included 9 women and 6 men coming from Germany, Portugal, Sweden, Thailand, Lebanon, Italy and Ethiopia.

He said they were 25-50 years of age and were mostly from Sweden.

About 27 million tourists, non-Iranian and Iranian pilgrims visit Imam Reza (AS) Holy Shrine in Mashhad city annually.
